Description:
Bojnik is located on Pusta river (Desert river), about twenty kilometres north from Leskovac. It is a very old settlement – the antic town Kosturan was in its vicinity. Population works in agriculture, fruit growing and winegrowing. There is a monument on the main square, erected in memory of 500 people, mainly children, women and elderly, shot in the course of one day in February 1942 by the invaders. There is a reservoir Brestovac close to this town.
